Layers of the Land

Around the isles the waters flow,
Layers of land in sunset's glow.
Elements bask in the warm light of June,
Earth, wind, water lit by the moon.
Sea, loch, stream, a sensitive song,
Hills meet the sky in memory long.
Water encircles the headland's shore,
Wildflowers bloom by the sheltered door.
In the evening light of the Hebrides fair,
Beauty beyond words meets the salty air.
